"Dante and Beatrice" Galvano Bronze Antique Bookends
The great Italian poet Dante Alighieri... "Dante and Beatrice", made circa 1925 by the Galvano Bronze Co, a pair of vintage electroformed figural book ends. Truly rare and unusual: This particular pair is either copper-clad or copper over bronze-clad, beautifully polished with some dark patina. Usually this version is seen in a more brass-like bronze color, or dark bronze, or painted bronze -- we've never before seen this version of D+B in polished copper ... simply beautiful !
