Cosmetically pretty; functionality untested. Canon "FLASH UNIT-Y" flashbulb gun, side rail mount, serial number 32066, with detachable reflector, and with insert to allow the use of smaller flash bulbs. Dial on back labeled "MICRO-SYNC" (0-30, and Off), reflector slides forward/backward for light coverage (40, 50, 60, 70 degrees), red test button on front. There is a small amount of corrosion in the battery compartment; battery not included.
Luke Skywalker fans know that the lightsaber props created for the original Star Wars movie were fashioned out of vintage flashbulb holders. Begin your own DIY replica lightsaber project using this Canon flash unit!
Please note that this is NOT the Graflex 3-Cell Camera Flash Attachment type that was used to create Luke’s lightsaber in the 1977 American epic space opera film written and directed by George Lucas — but this smaller Canon unit would make a fine lightsaber handle suitable for smaller hands.
