Antique vintage ceiling mount operating room light, this model having been used in both hospitals and on WWII US Navy warships, see the historical photo. Wilmot Castle Model 801, surgical theater industrial lighting. Functional and working, 2-wire corded plug.
Made by the Wilmot Castle Company of Rochester, NY. All original swivel and trunnion type adjustable examination lamp, retains the original heat tempered, tinted glass lens designed to render colors perfectly. Construction is brass/bronze and/or plated aluminum.
Diameter is approx. 13.3 inches, maximum height about 17 inches, weight about 16.5 lb, Model 801, Serial number 41068. The handles for adjusting tilt/angle are missing (see the ref. photo), but it still displays nicely
A conversation starter, this operating room light will make wonderful industrial home decor — consider it an “industrial chandelier” for your kitchen, living room, dining room, home office or workshop.
