Antique vintage Wilmot Castle Model 513, articulated-arm dentistry surgical theater industrial lighting. Functional and working, 3-wire corded plug.
Made by the Wilmot Castle Company of Rochester, NY. Retains the original heat tempered, tinted glass lens designed to render colors perfectly. The blue glass filter and its diffuser plate are not original (having come from a more recent model Wilmot Castle), but still displays nicely. Diameter is approx. 12.8 inches, weight about 11.0 lb, Model 513, Serial number 1794.
The switch is NON-FUNCTIONAL. Out of safety concern, given its age, it was not wired-in when this lamp was rewired with a brand new line cord, in 2024. The line cord is wired directly to the bulb socket, with its ground wire attached to the metal frame within.
You will need to fashion a mounting arrangement to use this lamp. Its mounting shaft is 1-3/8 inch diameter. Know that, should you choose to drill a hole that size in your 2-inch thick (or more) solid hardwood workbench — yes, the 3-prong corded plug will fit through a hole of that diameter.
A conversation starter, this operating room light will make wonderful industrial home decor — consider it an “industrial chandelier” for your kitchen, living room, dining room, home office or workshop.
Sold “AS-IS” and without warranty of any kind. As with any old electrical appliance, it is recommended, prior to use, that you have it checked-out by a qualified electrical repair shop.
Ships in oversize extra-sturdy double-wall box.
