A simple elegantly hand-carved antique white marble or beige marble fireplace keystone. Perhaps mid-18th century to early-19th century, this keystone looks as if it might long ago graced a fine estate just down the road in Washington Crossing on the Delaware River — or a bit geographically wider, considering the source of our acquisition, an old home in either Bucks County PA, Burlington County NJ, Mercer County NJ, or Hunterdon County NJ.
SPECS: 9.65 inches tall, 7.35 inches wide, max. depth about 2.7 inches, weighs 9.2 lbs. A few small chips/nicks: Please carefully study the photos.
A rare find, this decorative stone tablet for your fireplace entablature restoration or historical era home or museum piece.
